About Linsey

Linsey started showing horses at the ripe age of 5.  She showed 4-H and open show all summer long until she entered high school.  With high school activities taking precedence, Linsey took some time off from showing regularly.  Horses were always around and she still participated in a show or two each summer.

After high school she chose to continue her education at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln with a major in Fashion Merchandising.  It was here she had the opportunity to join the UNL Equestrian Team.  Showing in the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association sparked her interest in the area of showing horses once again.  This time she really grew to appreciate the show world.  Most importantly she grew to appreciate the attire of worn by individuals showing.  It seemed obvious to combine her two passions, showing horses and fashion.

At UNL, Linsey had the chance to participate in an Undergraduate Creative Activities and Research Experience.  In this project, she chose to design and construct six custom garments.  Between her, and her faculty advisor, Mrs. Carol Easley, they worked through all the obstacles that arose during the construction process.  This allowed her to work out any kinks before starting her own custom western show apparel business, and so began Bling for the Ring.
